REBOUND
[Cannes, France]
The problems facing our society, including pandemics, wars, and the lack of tolerance toward diversity in all its forms, have made current and future generations vulnerable. Diversity remains a cause of division rather than a resource, a source of new knowledge, or an opportunity for discovery and renewal.
Resilience thus becomes the most important value for surviving modern times. Resilience is about accepting reality, acting, and changing things; it’s about having a positive vision of oneself, believing in one’s abilities and worth, and making diversity a strength; it’s about having the perseverance to continue, even in the face of difficulties. According to numerous studies, resilient people are those who understand that behind every defeat lies an opportunity to learn, evolve, and overcome.
The heart of this creation finds its aesthetic in the meticulous and precise search for a physicality that is both fragile and powerful, tender and hard, one that reaches the form to destroy or transform it.
